DFW Airport, TX, United States of America $16.50 - $20.00 Job Skills / Requirements The Custodian is responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that building and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications The custodian reports to the Lead Custodian and the Custodial Supervisor and cares for the Main building/facilities and equipment. Maintaining these responsibilities will help to ensure the health, safety and security of the public. Strong follow-through on delegated tasks and assignments Ability to operate and use tools/equipment Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions Ability to prioritize multiple tasks Ability to work effectively independently or with a team Basic knowledge of general housekeeping methods and practices, cleaning products and use Duties/Responsibilities Collect trash and replace garbage liners, clean garbage receptacles as required Dust and cleaning of all furniture, fixtures, and horizontal surfaces as required Vacuum all carpeted areas, mop tile and concrete floor areas as required Wash, disinfect, and restock all restroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, paper and soap dispensers as required Empty trash in all washrooms, clean mirrors, walls and toilet partitions Cleaning window sills and windows Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs and any damages Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times Perform other duties as assigned Physical Demands The Custodian position is a physically demanding position. The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, lifting heavy objects. Management has the exclusive right to alter the scope of work within the framework of the job description at any time without prior notice. Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: From $16.50 per hour Shift: 2pm-10.30pm COVID-19 considerations: To keep our employees safe we require all of our staff to wear mask and we give them several pairs of gloves to use.
