NDT Tech - X-Ray Level 2 (2nd Shift)

The X-Ray Technician Level II is responsible for reviewing both digital images and film images to ensure the integrity and quality of our highly technical parts before they are shipped to our customer. Responsible for and demonstrates safe work practices. Passionately works in a safe manner by following all safety rules and providing recommendations to help make PCC a safe work environment. Achieves team production goals by working to meet all operational and quality standards to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Following the appropriate methods, reviews processed X-Ray film to ensure the castings are conforming to customer specifications. Reads and accurately follows technique card instructions, which describes numerous unique steps of a complex nature; plans the methods for completing a given assignment. Accurately records and reports results using the appropriate systems. Ensures equipment is calibrated per specifications. Trains and provides guidance to less skilled employees to assist in their development and performance. Interfaces with engineering and management and proposes corrective action to solve problems. Performs other duties of equal, greater or lesser complexity as required by the position or as assigned by supervision. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred and may be substituted by manufacturing experience. One year of manufacturing experience preferred. Previous experience in the casting industry is a plus. Must have X-Ray Level I certification. X-Ray Level II certification is highly preferred. Requires the ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions normally acquired by completion of high school of GED. Use arithmetic, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Make simple use of drawings, x-ray folders, approved x-ray techniques, specifications, charts and tables. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to perform duties in working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, multiple physical positions and other elements for extended periods of time.
