Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the mental health needs of patients, adapting therapeutic interventions as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and external caregivers to ensure a cohesive approach to client progress and care.
- Maintain detailed records for all interactions, preparing monthly and quarterly reports that reflect patient progress and effectiveness of treatment plans.
- Participate actively in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings, contributing insights and sharing updates on client cases.
- Coordinate and execute home visits when necessary, to facilitate in-person assessments and strengthen client relationships.
- Organize and utilize training sessions for staff on the implementation of program plans and documentation protocols, ensuring compliance and quality care.
- Act as a supportive liaison to community resources and partners, advocating for client needs and development goals.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards of practice in counseling.
- Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems efficiently to manage and share client information.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The position focuses on a diverse range of clients, including adults facing mental health challenges, adolescents dealing with family dynamics, and individuals coping with trauma. Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctorate in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Possession of an active, unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.
- Minimum of two years of counseling experience, ideally within a clinical setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in areas such as family therapy, couples counseling, trauma-informed practices, or substance use treatment.
- Strong ethical framework and understanding of the legal standards governing mental health practice.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and technology used in telehealth environments.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with an interdisciplinary healthcare team approach, displaying a collaborative spirit.
- Background in implementing individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments.
- Skill in leading training sessions for colleagues and continuously improving service delivery.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, dependent on experience and caseload.
