Registered Nurse Orthopedic

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Orthopedic RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a Magnet-recognized hospital in Denver. This role involves providing compassionate patient care on a busy orthopedic/neuro unit during day shifts.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer and manage patient care for orthopedic and spine surgery patients.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
  
  
• 
  Monitor and document patient progress using Meditech EMR system.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families on post-operative care and rehabilitation procedures.
  
  
• 
  Maintain safety standards and ensure proper utilization of immobilizers and braces.
  
  
• 
  Support unit activities, promote teamwork, and uphold hospital policies.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid RN license with a minimum of 1-year current orthopedic or med-surg experience in a hospital setting.
  
  
• 
  Possess BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in orthopedic procedures such as total joint replacements and spine surgeries.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, including energy, empathy, and a good sense of humor.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
