• Experience: Previous experience operating a forklift, side lift, or similar equipment is required (2-3 years). Experience in a warehouse or steel supply environment is a plus.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, good physical stamina, and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Certification: Previous forklift operator experience required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
• Team Player: Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment with a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Equipment: Safely operate a forklift or side lift to move steel products, pallets, and materials to designated storage locations or for shipment.
• Inventory Management: Assist in tracking stock levels, conduct regular inventory checks, and help ensure materials are properly labeled and stored.
• Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport steel products and other materials to and from the storage area, ensuring safe and accurate handling.
• Order Fulfillment: Retrieve steel products based on customer orders, ensuring proper packaging and preparation for shipment.
• Maintain Organization: Keep the warehouse clean and organized by following proper storage techniques and keeping work areas free of debris.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including wearing proper safety equipment and performing routine equipment checks.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the warehouse team, management, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and meet order deadlines.
• Record Keeping: Accurately document material movement, inventory levels, and other relevant information using warehouse management systems or logs.
