About This Role

We are looking for a flexible and energetic Childcare Teacher Floater to support our early childhood education team in Richland , WA. In this dynamic role, you will move between different classrooms—ranging from infants to preschoolers—to provide seamless care, supervision, and instructional support. You will adapt quickly to various classroom routines, ensure licensing compliance, and maintain a nurturing environment wherever you are needed.

What You'll Do

Assist lead teachers across various age groups with daily lessons, playtime, and routines.

• Provide attentive supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
• Help manage transitions, meal times, nap times, and outdoor play activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment following state guidelines.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and co-workers through warm communication.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• Meet Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) background requirements.
• Valid CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler certifications, or willingness to obtain them.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain active with children throughout the day.

Nice To Haves

• Initial Washington State ECE Certificate or progress toward a CDA credential.
• Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center or preschool setting.
• Complete MERIT training hours and 30-hour STARS basic training.
