Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with each patient's needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves the delegation and direction of specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that effectively promote a return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers while upholding the organization's Mission Statement and Core Values.

Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans focused on progressing patients toward discharge.
  • Document all patient care activities in a clear, concise, and timely manner, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
  • Participate in student programs, providing a positive learning environment with appropriate supervision and evaluation.
  • Engage in professional development through continuing education and self-study.
  • Adhere to applicable State Practice Acts and maintain professional licensure.
  • Follow quality improvement methodologies to ensure high service quality.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
  • 1+ years of outpatient clinical experience.
  • CPR certification.
  • Active and applicable state licensure for practicing as a Physical Therapist.
