This central South Carolina correctional facility provides outpatient psychiatric services to an adult population requiring mental health care in a structured correctional setting. The facility maintains established clinical protocols and a support team that includes 1 Psych MD and 1 FNP to ensure continuity of psychiatric care delivery. A locum tenens psychiatrist is sought on an immediate and ongoing basis to meet the clinical needs of the population served.

Clinical responsibilities include rounding on adult patients presenting with severe mental illness and conducting occasional correctional evaluations.
