Turn Your PTA Career into a Specialty We are looking for a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who wants to take their career beyond traditional physical therapy and develop specialized expertise in prosthetic and orthotic rehabilitation. You’ll work alongside Physical Therapists, Prosthetists, and Orthotists to help patients improve mobility, regain independence, and successfully use prosthetic and orthotic devices. No prior prosthetics or orthotics experience is required. We provide hands-on training, mentorship, and opportunities to develop advanced skills in gait, mobility, and P&O rehabilitation - including a potential pathway toward becoming a Certified Prosthetic-Orthotic Assistant (COPA). What You’ll Do Provide therapeutic exercise, gait, balance, strengthening, and functional mobility training under PT supervision Work directly with patients using prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices Educate patients and caregivers on safe device use and home exercise programs Collaborate with PTs, Prosthetists, and Orthotists to improve patient outcomes and device function Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate clinical documentation Assist with patient intake, insurance authorizations, scheduling, and patient payments as needed Deliver an exceptional, patient-centered experience What We're Looking For Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Current Georgia PTA license or eligibility for licensure CPR certification or willingness to obtain Strong communication and interpersonal skills Team-oriented with a desire to learn and grow Interest in prosthetics, orthotics, gait, and specialized rehabilitation Experience in outpatient orthopedics, neurological rehabilitation, amputee rehabilitation, or mobility training is a plus - but not required.
