SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Want the opportunity to help cultivate tomorrow’s generation? Join the Penn State Health All About Children clinic! Providing general primary care for pediatric patients, this clinic averages 85-120 patients/day, so no two days are ever alike!

The hired Licensed Practical Nurse will work either in Triage or In-Staffing depending on the needs of the office. In Triage, the LPN will be assisting with inbound and outbound calls regarding patient assessment, home care, and patient education.

On the floor, the LPN will be responsible for rooming patients, Point-of-Care Testing, performing vaccinations/immunizations, ER follow-ups, contacting patients with lab results, and contributing to staff development/training.

The ideal LPN will have prior clinical experience with the pediatric population and foster good teamwork within the office. Strong soft skills are a great tool to interact with both parent and patient alike. The LPN will be required to complete at least one early morning and two late evening shifts per week. The office is closed on weekends and holidays, so be sure to apply!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Currently licensed to practice as a licensed practical nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate LPN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required prior to completion of orientation.
