Role Overview Your primary focus will be executing punch press tasks such as blanking, piercing, trimming, and notching. You will be responsible for monitoring the quality of your output for defects like burrs or damaged punches while utilizing templates and fixed gauges to ensure accuracy against shop orders. Additionally, you will support material handling, ensure all safety mechanisms are active prior to operation, and communicate any equipment or die issues to the set-up team. You may also be tasked with operating additional departmental machinery and must strictly adhere to all established safety protocols. Key Responsibilities Engage in consistent physical and mental tasks to maintain production flow. Review job specifications and technical details to ensure high-quality outcomes for every project. Manage machine operations, including control adjustments and performance monitoring, to help achieve production targets. Qualifications Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts, including fractions and decimals. Capacity to interpret shop orders, technical drawings, and physical samples. Proficiency in utilizing precision tools such as scales, micrometers, and fixed gauges. Education equivalent to a high school diploma supplemented by relevant vocational training. Gain familiarity with a diverse range of parts and tooling through a brief two to three-month onboarding period. Physical Demands Perform light physical labor by loading and unloading components, frequently shifting materials and tooling, and continuously handling lightweight items to support team efficiency.
