Job Details Public Job Title: Mobile App Product Manager (iOS & Android) Public Job Description: Direct Client: NYC Office of Technology and Innovation; Job Title: Mobile App Product Manager (iOS & Android); Duration: 6+ Months with possible extension; Location: 15 Metrotech Center, Brooklyn, NY 11201; Position Type: Contract; Interview Type: Webcam/In-person; Ceipal ID: NYC_PM820_SS Responsibilities Provide product management leadership including defining key requirements and features for the NYC Secure App based on user research, integrating stakeholder input, and developing the build, test, and launch strategy and roadmap for the project. Lead project management ensuring integration with other OTI departments and timely completion of deliverables across engineering and design. Define Technical Requirements: Draft the functional specifications for the NYC Secure App rebuild, detailing requirements for the free call and text filtering engine. Establish Success Metrics: Define KPIs for the project, such as target scam-block accuracy rates and user adoption goals among vulnerable populations. Stakeholder Alignment: Coordinate the 311 team to define information needs and architecture for resource pages, ensuring alignment with current call-center workflows. Manage Integration Strategy: Oversee the technical roadmap for integrating the new web resources into the nyc.gov ecosystem without unnecessary infrastructure overhead. Privacy & Compliance: Ensure all solutions meet NYC’s data privacy and security standards. Prioritize User Centricity: Support user research with elderly and immigrant New Yorkers to ensure the digital tools are accessible and meet real user needs. Milestone Management: Create a phased delivery schedule that establishes project milestones and a product roadmap, including beta release of the app, the 311 info-page launch, and public rollout. Risk Mitigation: Identify potential technical or logistical bottlenecks or user challenges that may risk project timelines or success. Qualifications At least 8 years of experience as a product manager or in technical leadership. Experience leading and managing the design and build of responsive websites and applications in collaboration with engineers and designers. Experience launching products with user-centered design practices. Experience defining product requirements and key success metrics for a project.
