Travel RN - Med/Surg (Oncology Focus)

Location: Wichita, KS

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7A - 7P

Job Description: Join our dedicated team in a Med/Surg unit with a focus on oncology care. This unit provides standard medical-surgical care with chemotherapy administration, ensuring high-quality treatment for patients. We foster a supportive environment for both new and experienced staff, with strong teamwork and a focus on positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the unit.
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor patient response.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate patient records.
• Utilize Meditech for electronic medical documentation.
• Support new staff through mentorship and guidance.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital Med/Surg experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Chemotherapy certification and ACLS preferred.
