Advanced Performance Improvement & Project Manager

Join a dynamic healthcare team as an Advanced Performance Improvement & Project Manager, where you will lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality across various processes. This role involves collaborating with leadership to identify improvement opportunities and implementing strategic changes that align with organizational goals.

Essential Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to pinpoint areas for operational enhancements and develop effective process improvements.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators, collecting and analyzing data to track progress toward objectives.
• Conduct root cause analyses to uncover inefficiencies and recommend solutions.
• Educate and guide team members on process improvement initiatives and changes.
• Serve as an authorized representative for risk management and compliance investigations, maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Foster professional communication and relationships with patients, team members, physicians, contractors, and external agencies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

People Management

This position includes responsibilities for overseeing team members, including employment decisions and performance evaluations.

Education and Experience

• Required: Bachelor's degree in a health-related or human sciences field (e.g., Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology) and at least 2 years of relevant experience in performance improvement or project management within healthcare, or graduate-level education in a related field.
• Preferred: Master's degree in a related field and 5 years of experience in healthcare quality, performance improvement, or LEAN management, or a combination of graduate work and experience.

Certifications

• Industry-recognized certifications in Quality or Patient Safety are preferred.
• Yellow Belt certification or higher is desirable, with the ability to obtain certification within 2 years of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of federal regulations and compliance programs.
• Proficiency with project management tools and demonstrating return on investment in quality initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including problem solving, active listening, negotiation, and consensus building.
• Ability to engage tactfully and diplomatically with internal and external stakeholders.
• Competent in computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and relevant regulatory software.
• Understanding of process mapping, statistical analysis, data aggregation, and critical thinking.

Physical Requirements

This is primarily sedentary work, occasionally requiring lifting up to 10 pounds and standing or walking less than 10% of the day. Accommodations can be made as needed.
