Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician ensures the reliability, safety, and performance of production equipment and facility systems supporting Holtec's manufacturing operations. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial machinery critical to daily operations. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to both preventive maintenance and urgent repairs. Working closely with operations, engineering, and safety teams, this position also requires the ability to interpret technical documentation, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Location: Orville, OH (On-site)Primary Responsibilities:Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, and ensure compliance with safety standardsPerform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and performanceInstall, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade mechanical and electrical systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, lubrication, power transmission, cranes, and mobile equipment)Diagnose and repair components such as motors, wiring, PLCs, I/O modules, VFDs, and power suppliesRead and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manualsInstall and wire new equipment, including conduit and power systems, per specificationsInspect, dismantle, repair, and reassemble equipment; support commissioning and decommissioning activitiesTest equipment to verify effective repairs and proper operationComplete work orders, track parts, and maintain accurate maintenance recordsAssist with maintenance planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize work and resolve technical issuesApply strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex technical environmentsRequirements:High School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience (or equivalent combination of education/training, including military)Hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, lubrication, and power transmission systemsAbility to read and interpret schematics, technical instructions, and equipment documentationStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skillsSolid understanding of industrial safety practicesAbility to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive movements for extended periodsComfortable working in industrial environments, including exposure to varying conditions (e.g., shop floor, warehouse, outdoor areas)Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or related fieldExperience with overhead cranes, mobile equipment, and welding support systemsKnowledge of motor controls, PLC troubleshooting, and electrical systemsFamiliarity with CMMSExperience in a manufacturing environment with quality and safety standardsA Generation Ahead by Design™ Investing in people who power the future.
