Contract | Days | Full-Time | 36 hours per week | 12-hour shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients across an assigned shift in an emergency department setting
• Prescribe and deliver nursing care based on the nursing process, consistent with the medical plan of care and informed by patient and family input
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care for patients of all ages, including adult and geriatric populations
• Provide triage, treatment, and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care setting
• Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
• Delegate aspects of patient care delivery to other nursing staff in accordance with their clinical competence and legal scope of practice

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required at time of hire
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required within 1 year of hire
• EPIC experience within the last 12 months and recent Cerner experience required; each work history entry must indicate the charting system used

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Acute care facility experience
• MICN and/or CEN certification
