CNV Project Automation Engineer

Position OverviewSofidel America, a subsidiary of the Sofidel Group, is a leading manufacturer of tissue paper for hygienic and domestic use. The company is committed to sustainable growth, operational excellence, and adherence to quality and regulatory standards.We are seeking a CNV Project Automation Engineer to join our Chief Technology Officer organization. This role will support the development, implementation, and optimization of automation systems across converting operations, with a focus on the CNV project. The position will play a key role in driving efficiency, reliability, and standardization across manufacturing processes.Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Support the design and implementation of automation systems for converting lines, automated guided vehicles, and automated warehouse systemsCollaborate with cross functional teams to define technical requirements and project scopeAssist in the integration of PLC, HMI, and control systems within manufacturing operationsTroubleshoot automation and control system issues to ensure minimal downtimeSupport commissioning, start up, and validation of new equipment and systemsWork closely with operations and maintenance teams to improve system performanceAnalyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvementEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standardsSupport standardization of automation practices across facilitiesMaintain technical documentation related to automation systems and projectsAvailability to travel is essential for this position in support of project implementation and operational needs across facilitiesRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related fieldExperience in industrial automation within a manufacturing environment preferredKnowledge of PLC programming including Allen Bradley and Siemens systems, HMI systems, and industrial control systemsExperience with converting or paper manufacturing equipment is a plusStrong problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to work both independently and within a team environmentAvailability and flexibility to travel up to 50% as required to support project implementation and operational needs across facilitiesWhy Join Sofidel America?Competitive compensationComprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchPaid vacation and company holidaysOpportunities for professional growth and developmentCollaborative and safety focused work environmentEqual Opportunity EmployerSofidel America is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations..
