Lead Data Platform Engineer

Leading the architecture and technical direction for data pipelines, the full-time remote Lead Data Platform Engineer will manage the integration of data systems, oversee ETL processes, and ensure the reliability and performance of production databases. Key responsibilities Own the architecture and technical roadmap for data pipelines and integrations, making key tradeoff decisions Set standards for infrastructure, schema contracts, observability, and incident response while mentoring engineers across levels Guide the replication of data from third-party systems and ensure the integrity and performance of production databases Required qualifications 8+ years of experience building and operating production data systems with a focus on technical leadership Deep SQL expertise, including query optimization, indexing, and schema design Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT tools such as Fivetran or Informatica Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure data services Experience in leading teams through production incidents and implementing durable fixes
