DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. As a PCT, you'll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment.What does the PCT role entail?Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis careMonitor patients before, during, and after treatmentSet up and maintain dialysis equipmentRecord vital signs and patient dataEducate patients on treatment and kidney healthCollaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team membersRotating schedule of 3 to 4 day work weeks, including rotating Saturdays with Sunday offMust be flexible to work early morning and late evening hours, starting and ending times can range from 3:30 am to 8:00 pm.Average hours range from 10 to 14+ hours a dayWhat does a successful PCT look like?High School Diploma (HSD) or GED *Please Note this is a State Requirement to obtain a Hemodialysis CertificationComfortable working around blood and needles, mixing acid or bicarbDesire to enter the healthcare field to care for other people in needFlexibility and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as neededAbility to work in a fast paced setting as part of a team while managing multiple responsibilities at a timeHealthcare experience a plus including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.What We OfferPaid training with ongoing education and career pathsFull benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid time offFamily support: backup child/elder care, Headspace, EAP, parental leaveCareer development Programs: Clinical Ladders, Bridge to Your Dreams RN programAt DaVita, we strive to be a community first and a company second.
