Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 3x12 Nights (19:00 - 07:30), with weekend coverage every other weekend as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in a similar nursing role, including familiarity with telemetry services and general medical procedures. You will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support in a telemetry environment.
• Monitor patient health, including vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
• Administer medications and manage patient treatments according to established protocols.
• Perform bedside procedures, such as dialysis catheter insertion, thoracentesis, and I&D.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and maintain electronic medical records using the EPIC system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• EPIC charting experience is required.
• Experience with post-heart catheterization and associated procedures preferred.
