As a Medical Customer Service Representative, you will be an essential part of the medical equipment office team supporting multiple departments by managing patient interactions and administrative tasks. Your role involves scheduling appointments, handling patient information with accuracy, and maintaining electronic medical records using various healthcare software tools. You will communicate with patients via phone, email, and in-person to ensure excellent customer service in a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently
• Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly
• Collect, verify, and enter patient medical and insurance information
• Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMRs) using EHR software
• Process supply sales orders and manage inventory as needed
• Create a welcoming and professional front office atmosphere
• Utilize medical terminology effectively in communications and documentation
• Support multiple departments within the medical office team

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in medical customer service
• Certificate in medical coding or equivalent is beneficial
