PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for the recovery of patients from general and moderate sedation anesthesia, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the recovery process.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and provide appropriate nursing care.
• Ensure safe recovery from anesthesia, managing pain and any potential complications.
• Assist with pre-operative processes and patient assessments, maintaining a ratio of 3 patients to 1 nurse in the Pre Op area.
• Provide post-operative care with a recovery ratio of 2 patients to 1 nurse.
• Effectively communicate with patients and their families regarding care and recovery processes.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of PACU and ICU experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Proficient in all ICU nursing skills and practices.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple cases daily (130-150 cases a day).

Work Schedule

This position does not require on-call duty, nor does it involve working weekends or holidays.
