Your responsibilities will include:Completing new installations, reconnections, disconnections, upgrades, downgrades, and service changesInstalling and relocating outlets, modems, converters, wiring, and related equipmentTroubleshooting service issues from the customer's equipment to the network tapTesting, maintaining, splicing, repairing, and replacing coaxial cable and related componentsPerforming network troubleshooting, including ping tests, traceroutes, and speed testsChecking signal levels, picture quality, voltage, and system performanceIdentifying and correcting causes of signal degradation or service interruptionsEducating customers on how to properly use their equipment and servicesMonitoring and repairing system, drop, and in-home signal leakageMaintaining system security by securing unused ports, drops, and pedestalsCompleting work orders, service records, logs, and reportsMaintaining assigned tools, equipment, inventory, and company vehicleFollowing WOW!, FCC, NESC, and OSHA safety and technical standardsDelivering friendly, professional, and dependable customer serviceSupporting and training other employees when neededCompleting other duties as assignedWhat You'll BringStrong customer service and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information in an easy-to-understand wayThe ability to work independently, manage priorities, and respond to time-sensitive issuesComfort using hand tools, testing equipment, and mobile applicationsThe ability to accurately maintain records, work orders, and service documentationThe ability to read maps and navigate assigned service areasAvailability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shiftsA valid driver's license and a good driving recordExperience using signal level meters, volt-OHM meters, spectrum analyzers, or similar testing equipment is helpful.Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsStand and walk for extended periods across different types of terrainWork outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperaturesCarry, climb, and safely operate an extension ladder approximately 28 feet long and weighing up to 75 poundsLift and carry up to 90 poundsWork at elevated heights, including roofs and utility polesWork in tight or poorly ventilated spaces, including attics and crawl spacesBend, twist, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, and graspSafely use drills, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and other hand toolsWork with small components and distinguish between different wire sizes and colorsUse close and peripheral vision and adjust visual focusWork in environments that may contain dust, dirt, noise, insects, or cleaning solutionsWork safely near power lines and electrical equipmentSafely operate a company vehicleMeet the physical requirements for applicable personal protective equipment, aerial lifts, ladders, and climbing equipmentWOW! is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including minorities, women, protected veterans, individuals with disabilities, sexual orientation, and gender identity.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran WOW!
