Position Summary

Provides operational and administrative Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) support for Performance Fibers OEM LLC Coventry and Mansfield locations.

Principal Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks required by hazardous waste regulations, including inspections, waste storage, waste characterization, coordination, and preparation of hazardous waste for disposal and shipment to approved TSDFs.
• Conduct sampling and review stormwater and wastewater monitoring reports to ensure compliance with applicable permits.
• Lead site safety committees and support initiatives to promote a strong safety culture.
• Update EHS programs, procedures, and policies as required to maintain regulatory compliance and operational effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate chemical inventories and ensure compliance with applicable chemical management requirements.
• Conduct routine audits of work areas to identify potential EHS hazards and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Manage the site’s PEP program and ensure program requirements are effectively implemented and maintained.
• Assist with incident investigations, identify root causes, and track corrective and preventive actions through completion.
• Assist with EHS training for employees and contractors.
• Compile sustainability data for both locations and complete reporting.

Education / Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience is preferable.
• Minimum of 2 years of supporting environmental, health, and safety programs.
• OSHA 30 Hour and DOT Hazardous Material training is preferable.

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities
• Ability to recognize potential obstacles and develop solutions to resolve them with minimal consequence within set timelines or change direction if priorities are modified.
• Ability to make critical, independent decisions and be accountable for actions within a fast-moving environment.
• Ability to perform at high-level with limited supervision and effectively partner with team members when necessary .
• Ability to exercise critical thinking skills in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access and the ability to quickly learn other software tools and applications
• Ability to travel up to 10% to perform training and monitoring, as needed
• TRAVEL REQUIRED: less than 10 %

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $27-38 per hour, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
