This position is for a night shift, specifically from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Job Description

The Assessment Specialist RN will play a pivotal role in the intake process for mental health patients, working within a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to individuals aged 18 to 99. This role demands a compassionate approach to mental health, recognizing it as a legitimate illness and applying proactive strategies during patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients entering the facility.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans.
• Ensure appropriate documentation and management of electronic health records.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during assessments.
• Provide compassionate support and encouragement to patients during intake.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Current RN license in the applicable state.
• Certification in BLS and Handle With Care (HWC).
