TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Chesapeake, Virginia, 23320!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Critical Care preferred. License: Current Virginia or Compact License required at the time of submission. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required via American Heart Association. Must-Have: Strong neuro experience required (post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke), Vents, IV drip titration, Telemetry monitoring, Conscious Sedation, Dysrhythmia and emergency management. Description: Located in a beautiful coastal area. Ideal for outdoor lovers with numerous trails and waterways. Candidates must have strong neuro experience. Applicants will not be considered if there are any prior license or background hits. Must be willing to float to Stepdown Unit and may also float to ED/MedSurg to care for ICU patients being held. Patient populations include neurosurgical and post-stroke patients, respiratory failure, renal failure, post-surgical care, trauma, sepsis, and heart failure. The unit provides interdisciplinary support from various medical teams including Physical Therapy and Respiratory Services. Candidates should have experience in ventilated patient care, central line management, emergency medications, and post-neurosurgery management. Travel experience is preferred. Proficiency in Epic is required. The facility cannot accommodate a PAPR and requires fit testing. Additional skills required include titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips and managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure. Candidates must have a valid driver's license for address verification. RTO will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and no pre-approved time off is allowed.
