About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: NICU/PEDS Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy with pediatric unit experience in the past 5 years License: NC Licensure Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, RRT or CRT Must-Have: - 2 years of combined pediatric unit experience (no mixed age populations) - IPPV/NIPPV ventilator experience - Experience in emergency department (ED), pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), pediatric cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU), pediatric progressive care unit (PCU), or general medical floors Description: We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist specializing in NICU/PEDS. The position involves providing respiratory care for all pediatric patients throughout the facility. This includes working predominantly with neonates and pediatric age ranges. The position is located within a children’s hospital setting. Floating to other facilities is not required due to the specialty of the unit. Weekend rotation is required every other weekend. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. The schedule will follow a cycle every 6 weeks. Support will be available from respiratory leadership within the department. The department utilizes EPIC for electronic medical records. Specific equipment will be discussed during the interview.
