Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job

Overview Registered Nurse - PACU in Bangor, Maine, United States. This travel assignment starts 09/28/2026 for 13 weeks with 40 guaranteed hours per week on days shift in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,266 to $2,443. Under the supervision of the Unit Director, the RN delivers post-anesthesia care and coordinates with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe, efficient recovery from anesthesia. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,266 - $2,443 per week Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Start date: 09/28/2026 Setting: hospital-based PACU Responsibilities Monitor patients in the post-anesthesia care unit, including airway, breathing, circulation, and vital signs; respond promptly to changing clinical conditions Provide recovery care, pain management, wound care, and basic postoperative assessments per policy and physician orders Administer medications as prescribed, document interventions, and communicate patient status to the care team and family as appropriate Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and unit staff to coordinate safe transitions from PACU to the next level of care Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety standards Demonstrate teamwork, effective communication, and multitasking in a fast-paced perioperative environment Requirements Education: ASN required; BSN preferred Licenses: Current Maine RN license or compact license Certifications: BLS current or within 30 days of hire; ACLS current or within 90 days of hire; PALS current or within 1 year of hire Experience: 1–3 years preferred in PACU or perioperative nursing Ability to work in a hospital PACU setting with strong communication skills and teamwork Benefits and Support Dedicated travel healthcare recruiter support 24/7 assignment support Up to 16 hours of orientation (unpaid) 40 guaranteed hours per week during the 13-week assignment Explore additional travel nursing openings from Healthforce Healthcare LLC at PAY DISCLAIMER Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
