Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Operating Room Nurse, OR (Operating Room) in a healthcare facility, provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing surgery. Responsible for circulating and scrub roles across various surgical specialties, including trauma, neurology, and robotics, supporting a Level I trauma center with 16 operating suites. Job Details Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Iowa license or multistate license, BLS (AHA), minimum 24 months of current operating room experience, and at least 1 year of related experience. Schedule: Rotating shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week. Required Qualifications: 24 months of current operating room experience, circulating or scrub experience preferred, experience with general, Da Vinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases required, additional case experience with neurology, orthopedics (primarily trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, ENT, and vascular highly preferred. Preferred Qualifications: EPIC electronic medical record system experience within the previous 3 years, Trauma Level I experience highly preferred, Level II experience required. Additional Information: Must have an active Iowa or multistate nursing license, demonstrate proficiency in EPIC systems, and have completed a travel assignment within the previous 9 months. Submission requirements: Current resume, professional references from within the last 24 months, driver's license, and active BLS certification.
