Responsibilities include developing and reviewing power-system studies, calculations, specifications, single-line diagrams, equipment requirements, protection and control requirements, and vendor documentation.The engineer will coordinate with clients, suppliers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines and may serve as an electrical Area Lead or Lead Engineer on assigned projects. Power-generation or electrical power-plant experience is highly desirable, while transmission and substation experience is beneficial.Apply Cost Competitive Execution techniques to develop the most cost-effective total project solution for execution of the discipline engineering workDevelop and review electrical specifications, including design criteriaParticipate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontractingPerform and check electrical calculations, specify equipment, and solve moderately complex engineering problemsReview vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolutionAnalyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelinesOther duties as assignedBasic Job RequirementsAccredited four-year degree, or global equivalent, in electrical engineeringEight or more years of relevant electrical engineering experienceActive Professional Engineer license in a U.S. state or jurisdiction.
