Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year recent experience in specialty, preferred 2 years License: Registered Nurse license in the state or compact license Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross certification required Must-Have: Associate degree in nursing Description: This position is in a general surgical unit specializing in postoperative care for surgical patients. Nurses in this area have a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6 and are trained in all aspects of postoperative care, including pain management, mobility, and bedside procedures. We value creating a comfortable and healing environment for each individual patient and their unique needs. The nursing team collaborates closely with family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgeons. Candidates must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed. Availability for working every other weekend and holidays is required. The unit accommodates various shifts and can accept either 36 or 48 hours per week.
