Corporate Compliance Specialist

Description 

As the Corporate Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that 10 Federal Self Storage adheres to all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing the self-storage industry, as well as internal policies and procedures. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive compliance programs, mitigating risks, and promoting a culture of ethical conduct throughout the organization. 

Responsibilities 

• Serve as the primary point of contact for operational escalations related to Facility Management Systems. 
• Ensure operational policies and procedures are consistently followed across all locations. 
• Develop, implement, and monitor operational SOPs across the portfolio. 
• Ensure compliance with lien laws, auction procedures, and other state regulatory requirements. 
• Partner with IT and vendor teams to optimize FMS (facility management software such as (StorEDGE, SiteLink, etc.). 
• Provide training and ongoing support for new and existing operational systems, tools, and processes. 
• Mentor property staff and operations coordinators to improve efficiency and adherence to best practices. 
• Work with Accounting, Marketing, and Facilities to ensure alignment on billing, technology, and site maintenance initiatives. 
• Support transitions for acquisitions, new property openings, and third-party managed locations. 
• Partner with leadership to monitor KPIs, analyze performance trends, and recommend improvements. 
• Maintain operational dashboards and trackers to ensure timely reporting of property-level performance. 
• Identify patterns, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process automation or improvement. 
• Promote a culture of ethical conduct, accountability, and continuous improvement. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and/or 5+ years of experience in operations or multi-site management, preferably in self-storage, property management, or related industries. 
• Strong understanding of lien laws, tenant communication standards, and auction processes. 
• Proven experience with facility management platforms (StorEDGE, SiteLink, WebSelfStorage, etc.). 
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills. 
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple initiatives, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Outlook) and cloud-based tools (SharePoint, Google Workspace).
