Registered Nurse (Rn) Medical/Surgical Surgical Unit Days Lutz, Fl

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a registered nurse (rn) to join its medical/surgical surgical unit team. This role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional patient-centered care in a collaborative acute care environment while supporting professional growth and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients using the nursing process and established clinical standards
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and optimize patient care
Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other members of the healthcare team
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Promote patient safety and evidence-based care practices
Perform preceptor and charge nurse responsibilities as assigned
Demonstrate professional accountability and commitment to continuous learning and development

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current registered nurse (rn) license in the state of practice
Current basic life support (bls) certification
Advanced cardiovascular life support (acls) certification if required by the department
Associate degree or diploma in nursing required
Bachelor of science in nursing (bsn) preferred
Minimum of two years of registered nurse experience required
Nursing specialty certification preferred
Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
Clinical skills appropriate to a medical-surgical setting
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
