Executive Recruiter, Accounting & Finance | LHH Recruitment Solutions | People Connector & Team Builder Job Description: We are partnering with a private equity real estate firm seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff or Senior Accountant to join their team. This critical position will have primary responsibility for record-keeping and financial reporting for several private equity funds. The Staff/Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial information. Key Responsibilities: Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger for assigned funds. Reconcile bank accounts and prepare capital calls and distributions to partners. Maintain a working understanding of limited partnership agreements and apply terms to financial reporting and income/expense allocations. Prepare financial statements and footnotes, and allocate income and expenses to partners' capital accounts. Analyze investment transactions and valuations, using sound judgment to determine proper accounting and classification. Coordinate with outside CPA firms on annual audits and tax return preparation. Prepare various management reports for assigned partnerships. Ensure compliance with current accounting principles and advise on their proper application. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or CPA candidate preferred. 2+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, fund accounting, or within a private equity firm. Strong analytical skills and thorough working knowledge of accounting principles. Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and diligence. Experience with private equity, partnership accounting, and real estate is a plus.
