Details Admission unit caring for general medical patients and surgical patients awaiting surgery Rapid turnover unit with faster patient throughput than a typical Med/Surg unit Patient ratio of 5-6:1 for Med/Surg RNs Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week No on-call requirements Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month Block scheduling generally not approved Requirements Active GA or compact RN license required BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg-Tele specialty required Experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments required Proven background managing critical, fast-paced situations in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe cases required Experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals not accepted Strong communication skills and ability to work independently required Additional Information Work within a Level 1 trauma center known for high-acuity, complex, and challenging cases Provide care in a fast-paced, high-volume inner-city hospital setting Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates American Traveler Job ID P-739193.
