Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable General Ledger Accountant with a solid understanding of account structures, including cost centers, entities, and account coding. The ideal candidate should have experience with month-end close processes, reconciliation, and tie-out work, as well as proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Review account entries for accuracy based on transaction type.

• Reconcile subledger to ensure all variances are traced back to their source transactions.

• Prepare and post manual and correcting journal entries, including troubleshooting import errors.

• Utilize strong Excel skills to build reconciliation workbooks from scratch, including the use of pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions.

Essential Skills

• 4-7 years of accounting experience.

• Experience with month-end close processes.

• Proficiency in inputting journal entries.

• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with large organizations is beneficial.

• Exposure to Business Warehouse is a plus.

Work Environment

This position requires working Monday through Friday during regular business hours in a well-equipped office. The role offers exposure to a large organizational structure and a pleasant office environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
