Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A)The Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A) plays a vital role in supporting the nursing team by assisting with and implementing personalized care plans for residents and patients. This includes facilitating activities of daily living such as eating, dressing, personal hygiene, toileting, education, recreation, and transportation while adhering to established nursing policies and procedures.ResponsibilitiesAssist with routine activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, ambulating, and skin care.Demonstrate effective listening skills to identify and address resident/patient needs.Measure and report initial vital signs and weight to nursing staff promptly.Report changes in vital signs or measurements promptly to the Supervisor/Charge Nurse.Follow Universal Precautions procedures consistently.Monitor and accurately record resident/patient intake and output according to unit standards or physician orders.Maintain confidentiality regarding resident/patient issues and uphold rights.Foster productive relationships with healthcare team members and collaborate effectively.Provide additional care as directed by the RN/LPN.Assist with the orientation of patients/residents and their families to the unit and its services.Deliver prompt and accurate care as directed by the RN/LPN, following the care plan.Empathize and provide support to residents, patients, and their families.Maintain professionalism and objectivity during challenging interactions with residents and patients.Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances and needs.Seek assistance and contribute to problem-solving efforts when necessary.Exhibit a passion for delivering excellent care to long-term care residents and skilled rehabilitation patients.QualificationsMust hold an active Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A) license in Maine.Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.Shift InformationDays - 5 x 8, 40 hours per week.
