Essential Job Functions Assist teachers in supervising classroom and school‑wide learning activities. Provide instruction and reinforce skills as prescribed by the supervising teacher. Assist teachers in checking and evaluating student work; teach students individually and in small groups. Use behavior strategies to manage student behavior and maintain classroom order. Assist in developing communication and progressive learning skills; identify student learning deficiencies and document learning activities. Assist professionals with developing and preparing learning materials and instructional resources. Prepare instructional reports and complete required forms, schedules, records, and other data. Stay current on technology and practices used by the district. Attend meetings and in‑services as required. Reinforce school rules. Respond to emergency situations. Attend training and maintain certification in district‑offered physical management and verbal de‑escalation. Perform monitoring duties as assigned. Follow universal health precautions and proper body mechanics when interacting with students and moving heavy objects. Maintain confidentiality of student records. Establish and maintain cooperative, congenial, and supportive relationships with others. Perform other related duties as assigned by the building principal. Minimum Qualifications Associates Degree Preferred.
