Together with Palmer Logistics, we are building on a shared commitment to safety, operational excellence, customer partnerships, innovation and continuous improvement.This position offers the opportunity for career growth and development, to make a positive impact in our organization, and help shape the future of our U.S. warehouse operations.Position SummaryChemical Filling Technicians are responsible for trans loading product from railcar into drums, totes, and more, operate equipment for loading/unloading totes and drums, and operating drumming station. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and proficient in operating different types of equipment and handling materials in a fast-paced environment, while implementing best practices that support the continued growth of Palmer Logistics and H. Essers.Pay Rate$18.00- $20.00 an hour depending on experience and equipment knowledge.Key ResponsibilitiesTrans loading product from railcar using operating equipment into, drums, totes, etc.Operate drumming station to assure correct weight and seal containment.Equipment inspected daily and cleaned as required.Operate a forklift unloading or loading totes, drums.Must be able to read gauges.Must be able to connect and disconnect hoses via threaded/camlock fittings.Ability to work with basic hand tools.Must be able to lift 50lbs, stand for long periods of time, stoop, crawl, and work on an elevated platform and top of rail cars.Maintain high level of housekeeping in work area.Ability to multitask and complete task with sense of urgencySafety orientedReliable with reliable transportationTeam PlayerWillingness to fill in with other warehouse operationsFlexible work schedule: to work any hours between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, may require work on Saturdays if needed.Minimum Requirements:Must have 1-3 years of warehouse experience in a logistics environment.High school diploma or GEDAbility to read, write, and speak the English language.Detail-oriented and capable of performing basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.BenefitsMedical, Dental & Vision InsuranceCompany-paid Life InsuranceVoluntary Critical Illness, Accident, Hospital Indemnity, Short-Term Disability & Long-Term Disability Insurance401(k) Retirement PlanPaid HolidaysPaid Time OffPalmer Logistics and H.
