Job Description

The primary role of a warehouse worker is to efficiently receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.

Responsibilities

• Receive and count stock items, recording data manually or using a computer.
• Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
• Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
• Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
• Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.

• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Team player and detail-oriented.
• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years of experience required.
• Ability to work on feet for up to 10-hour shifts.
• Ability to match labels.

This is a great opportunity for temporary workers to convert to full-time positions, with benefits and the chance to become a pharmacy technician. The role is not strenuous and involves simply packing and shipping individual patient prescriptions. Enjoy working in a clean, climate-controlled facility that provides protection from extreme weather conditions.

Work Environment

Work takes place in a clean, climate-controlled Walgreens MicroFulfillment Center facility. The environment is less physically demanding compared to larger warehouses, with duties focused on packing and shipping individual patient prescriptions. Employees are allowed to use one earbud or pod to listen to music or podcasts. Shifts are available for 1st shift from 5am to 3pm, four days a week, and 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 11:30pm, five days a week.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Liberty, MO.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Liberty,MO.
