Job Opportunity: Full-time Psychiatrist for Emergency Psychiatry Services

Our organization is actively looking for a Full-time Psychiatrist to join our Emergency Psychiatry services at Mount Sinai Morningside/West. These facilities have a rich history of delivering exceptional healthcare tailored to the needs of local communities while also training outstanding academic physicians. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients facing mental health crises.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Consult with the main emergency department.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring opportunities with residents and medical students at our academic teaching sites.
• Participate in innovative pilots aimed at connecting patients to community and crisis service supports.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist.
• Valid New York State medical license.
• Preferred: At least one year of post-residency clinical experience in an acute care psychiatric environment.
• Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills are essential.
• Must demonstrate a collaborative and proactive approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, cost-effective healthcare.
• A strong work ethic and a desire to contribute to a team-oriented, performance-driven department.
• Qualifications for Assistant Professor or higher level are required.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $255,000 to $280,000, excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits. This range is provided to comply with New York City’s Salary Transparency law. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as experience, specialties, historical productivity, and community needs. Therefore, the final salary may be closer to either end of the range or, in some cases, outside of it.
