Join a dynamic educational team as an Occupational Therapist, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families. In this vital role, you will assess and enhance the functional abilities of students in a caring, non-public school dedicated to serving students on the autism spectrum.

* Location: Joppa, MD
* Annual Salary: $70-$90,000
* Will consider COTA with annual salary mid $60s
* Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
* School Calendar: 12-months

*Responsibilities:*

* Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students to identify strengths, challenges, and therapy needs.
* Develop and implement tailored occupational therapy treatment plans aimed at improving fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care abilities, and overall functional independence.
* Support students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other disabilities to develop communication skills, social participation, and adaptive behaviors.
* Serve as a member of the classroom team providing direct supervision of students during school hours.
* Facilitate the development of all treatment goals, objectives, interventions, and approaches as they relate to the IEP.
* Responsible for providing documentation of billable sessions for Medical Assistance by the 1st of each month.
* Case management of students outside-agency providers, as applicable.
* Review client files on a quarterly basis to assess service plan implementation, progress towards desired outcomes, and future appropriateness of service plan.

*Requirements*

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and at least one (1) year experience working with children diagnosed with autism preferably in a school setting. Must have license as an occupational therapist by the State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene at time of appointment and continuously throughout tenure in position.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
