Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location: Summit, NJ - 07901 (Other locations available – HACKENSACK/ NEPTUNE/ BRICKTOWN) Initial Duration: 8/13 Weeks (High possibilities of Extension) Shift: 7 AM – 7:30 PM or 7 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12 hr. shifts) Pay Range: Local Pay: $55 - $60/hr. on w2 (Negotiable)

Job Summary:

• Assessment skills. Has competent knowledge of all the normal stages of growth and development from Pediatric to Geriatric and delivers patient care appropriately. Performs thorough assessments that are systematic, comprehensive and accurate.
• Documentation. Maintains complete and accurate documentation. Demonstrates knowledge of documentation guidelines. Assumes primary responsibility for documenting components of the nursing process and patient's progress toward meeting outcomes in the patient's chart including patient education.
• Unit Specific Job Function. Demonstrates knowledge of the conditions/diagnoses, procedures and equipment encountered for surgical patients. Individualizes patient care according to the procedure and type of anesthesia across the continuum of care. Assesses patient reaction and understanding of procedure/instructions.
• Consistently demonstrates competent clinical skills. Performs direct patient care activities in support of patient care delivery and team concept. Provides competent and appropriate nursing care to the population of the unit.

Skills:

• 1-2 years of experience required.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing associate or bachelor's Degree – Preferred

Certifications & Licenses: Certifications can be taken upon offer

• NJ RN License or compact License
• ACLS - AHA
• BLS- AHA
• PALS -AHA
• NIHSS
