Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant - Warren, NJ

Position Certified Medical Assistant Reports to Practice Operations Manager Schedule Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, Sat-Sun 8am-4pm. Must be willing to work every other weekend. Block schedule 3x12's then 2x12's and 2x8's Summary As part of our team, the Medical Assistants work closely with our providers and patients. More specifically, they interview patients, measure vital signs, document all information in patients charts and assist the Providers in exam rooms. Additionally, they maintain logs, keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies and handle calls as appropriate. Job Duties and Responsibilities Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patients’ charts Assist providers in exam rooms; give instructions to patients as instructed by the providers Provide compassionate, quality care to patients and caregivers in urgent need/crisis Perform certain procedures such as blood draw, EKG, etc. Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required Provide feedback and answers to patient/provider/pharmacy calls Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, etc.) All other duties as assigned by Practice Manager or Practice Administrator Requirements High school diploma; some college preferred Successful completion of medical assistant program Active medical assistant certification Active BLS certification through an AHA accredited program Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections Knowledge of medical terminology Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette Ability to maintain professionalism and provide quality care in a fast-paced, public environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Immediate Care Walk-In Management LLC
