A contract opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to support a high-volume mail order renal specialty pharmacy. This role is ideal for professionals with 2-3 years of pharmacy experience who thrive in fast-paced environments and are open to a temporary assignment.

The pharmacy processes approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily, focusing on renal specialty medications through a mail-order model. The pharmacy uses the Wellsky order entry system and does not utilize automation. There is no on-call requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions, including final verification of prescription accuracy.
• Confirm that medication matches the bottle/box and that prescription directions and information align precisely with the hard copy.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians and other team members to maintain operational efficiency.

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years of high-volume pharmacy experience, preferably in specialty pharmacy settings.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent verification and clinical skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
• Proficiency with Wellsky order entry system is preferred but not required.
• Flexibility to accept a temporary-only role with no guaranteed temp-to-hire conversion.

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time hours
• No on-call or weekend duties
