Physical Therapist

Overview A Physical Therapist carries out an individualized program for patients with acute and chronic health conditions to maximize their quality of life and achieve their functional goals. The Physical Therapist may work in an inpatient and/or outpatient setting. The Therapist is supervised by Rehab Services management and maintains a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff. Location: Onancock, Virginia What You Will Do Perform evaluations, determine PT diagnoses, and develop plan of care. Perform physical therapy procedures to aid in restoring function, improving mobility, relieving pain, improving health, and preventing or limiting permanent physical disability. Evaluate and assess the patient timely, based on principles outlined by practice guidelines, evidence‑based guidelines and regulatory standards (state & organizational policies, requirements of accrediting bodies, etc.). Build trusting, collaborative relationships with a multi‑disciplinary team to support patient care needs, and actively participate in multi‑disciplinary team meetings. Assist in training and support of all team members, volunteers and students. Carry out treatment plan and modify to maximize therapeutic benefit and meet discharge criteria, and return to optimal level of care. Record the patient's progress and modify the plan of care. Utilize testing results and develop updated plan of care based on principles outlined in appropriate evidence‑based guidelines. Educate patients and family members about the recovery process. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree, Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program (Required) Doctoral Degree, Physical Therapy (Preferred) Experience Less than 1 year Patient Care experience (Preferred) Licenses and Certifications License Physical Therapy (PT) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire (Required) CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days (Required) To learn more about being a team member with Riverside Health System visit us at #J-18808-Ljbffr Riverside Health
