At THOR, we deploy robust efforts to attract, hire, develop and retain the best and brightest talent in an array of professions.This is where you come in… We are excited to find a great Systems Administrator!Position Summary:The Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation, security, reliability, and continuous improvement of THOR Industries’ Microsoft infrastructure and enterprise systems.This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys building, improving, and automating technology rather than simply maintaining it. You’ll work closely with the Director of IT in a collaborative environment where automation, documentation, and continuous improvement are valued.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, automating repetitive work, and continuously improving enterprise infrastructure.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:As our Systems Administrator, you will:Administer and maintain our hybrid Microsoft 365 environment, including identity, collaboration, messaging, and cloud services.Manage Windows Server infrastructure, Active Directory, virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery systems.Support enterprise endpoint management, device compliance, software deployment, and security policies.Maintain network infrastructure and ensure reliable connectivity across multiple corporate locations.Monitor and strengthen security through identity management, endpoint protection, conditional access, and email security.Automate repetitive administrative tasks using scripting and modern management tools.Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, system standards, and operational runbooks.Partner with IT leadership to implement infrastructure improvements and support strategic technology initiatives.Technology Environment: Microsoft TechnologiesMicrosoft 365Entra ID (Azure AD)Exchange Online & Hybrid ExchangeSharePoint OnlineTeamsIntuneAzurePower BINetworking & SecurityCisco MerakiZscalerCrowdStrike FalconMicrosoft DefenderOktaProofpointInfrastructureVMware vSphereVeeam Backup & ReplicationSAN StorageDisaster RecoverySQL ServerAutomation & DevelopmentPowerShellPythonMicrosoft Graph APIAzure CLIAzure DevOpsEducation & Experience:Three or more years of experience administering Windows Server and hybrid Microsoft 365 environments.Experience managing Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and enterprise infrastructure.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience writing PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks.Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.Strong documentation and organizational skills.Commitment to continuous learning and improving IT operations.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:VMware vSphereEnterprise backup solutions such as VeeamEnterprise networkingSAN storageMicrosoft AzureCisco MerakiMicrosoft Fabric or Power BIPythonAzure DevOpsInfrastructure as CodeCI/CD pipelinesTeamcenter or other PLM systemsRelevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure, VMware VCP, Cisco/Meraki, Security+, or CrowdStrike are preferred but not required.How You’ll Make an Impact:Maintain highly available, secure infrastructure.Deliver reliable backup and disaster recovery capabilities with verified restores.Continuously improve efficiency through automation.Produce clear, accurate technical documentation.Take ownership of systems and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.Build trusted partnerships with internal business teams through dependable IT support and technical expertise.Working with AI:THOR embraces AI as a productivity tool. Our IT team uses AI assistants such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude to accelerate scripting, troubleshooting, documentation, log analysis, and research.We expect our administrators to use AI thoughtfully while applying sound technical judgment and validating all recommendations before implementation.
