Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 8 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements:

• 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
• Postpartum and nursery experience
• ACLS certification (AHA)
• BLS certification (AHA)
• NRP certification
• BSN degree (preferred)
• Active OH or compact license at the time of submission

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments on patients and conduct reassessments according to policy.
• Assess and manage pain using appropriate evaluation methods and techniques, educating patients and families on pain management.
• Develop, revise, and evaluate plans of care based on patient responses to treatment, ensuring efficacy daily.
• Provide patient care that is age-appropriate and in compliance with the standard of care.
• Formulate and implement teaching plans based on identified learning needs while evaluating the effectiveness of education.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and families, addressing psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring the coordination of care across departments.

Compliance / Notes:

• Must provide proof of COVID vaccination if applicable.
• Maintain annual competencies, including bedside blood glucose waived testing.
