Job Description
Title: Med Surg Nurse
Schedule: Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Assignment Details: Contract Length: 16 weeks, Guaranteed Hours: 36.00
Requirements:
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg experience
- At least 1 year of travel experience, preferably with renewals
- Experience with Meditech charting

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit.
- Monitor and assess patient health and progress.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.

Compliance / Notes:
- No block scheduling.
- COVID vaccine is no longer required but highly recommended by this facility.
