Ford Mobile Service TechnicianA Ford Mobile Service Technician primary job role includes traveling to a remote location where they will perform repair diagnostics and/or maintenance type items including fluid checks, inspections, software updates, Ford approved minor recall work and other basic vehicle maintenance needs. Preparing estimates on site and selling needed items to the customer for same or future visits.We are searching for experienced technicians who want to try taking their skills on the road with mobile service. We have a great medical plan that includes 100% Medical, plus Dental and Vision, Matching 401K at 3%, 1 Week Paid Sick/Vac, 9 Paid Holidays, up to 2 Weeks Vacation, Paid training for classroom and web certs.Ford Mobile Service Technician Responsibilities:Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properlyIsolate the sub-systems or components that might have caused the problemDrive the vehicle for testing purposesMaintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehiclesRepair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damageUse power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasksWork directly with vehicle owners and customers in the fieldRepresent both the Store and the Brand behind Ford Mobile ServiceMaintain a reliable work schedule and help grow the operation.Mobile Service Technician Requirements:2+ Years of automotive experiencePrevious experience in Mobile Service a plusAbility to identify the problem quicklyKnowledge of automobiles and identification of components or systemsEffective analytical and communication skillsStrong reading, computer input, and mathematical skillsAbility to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specificationsComfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipmentHigh school diploma or GEDTechnical or Applied Sciences degree preferredAbility to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of timeAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and be self drivenBasic computer program operational skillsPositive, friendly attitude a mustWe are an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
